Police respond to accident in Southeast, find man fatally stabbed

WASHINGTON (WJLA) - Polce are investigating a fatal stabbing in Southeast D.C. Thursday night.

At around 10:38 p.m., officers from the Seventh District responded to a call for an accident with injuries in the 900 block of Barnaby Street SE. Upon arrival, they found an adult male lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds.

Fire and emergency medical workers took the man to a local hospital, but he was pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as Ernest Harkum, 44, of Southeast D.C.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of $25,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for this or any homicide in D.C.
