Police searching for man in connection with Tuesday bank robbery in D.C.

WASHINGTON (WJLA) - Police are searching for a person of interest in a bank robbery that occurred Tuesday morning in Northwest D.C.

The robbery reportedly occurred at the TD Bank in the 900 block of I Street NW at 11:05 a.m.

According to police, the suspect is described as a black male in his early 40s, between 5’4” to 5’7” in height, with a medium to dark complexion and light brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black ski mask with only his eyes exposed, a black hooded sweatshirt with a front zipper and hood over his head, and black knit gloves with pink stripes across the hand. He was carrying a black shoulder bag.

Police said the suspect was last seen walking east  from 901 I Street and south on 6th Street, NW.

Police released the above security photos from the robbery.

The Metropolitan Police Department offers a reward of up to $5,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia.
