FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (WJLA) - Fairfax County police are investigating a series of fondling incidents in the Bailey's Crossroads area.

Police believe a single male is responsible for a total of seven reported forcible fondling incidents that occurred in three shopping areas – Skyline, Bailey’s Crossroads, and Seven Corners.

The incidents took place between March 22 and April 19 in the afternoon or early evening between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m.

The suspect reportedly approached each of the victims, who are all female, from behind and grabbed and fondled their buttocks or crotch area before fleeing.

As far as the victims, police say they are between 20 and 40 years of age. So far, the suspect hasn’t been caught on surveillance video, and oddly enough, there haven’t been any witnesses – though police eventually someone will be able to describe what he looks like.

Detectives believe there may be witnesses who haven’t come forward due to the high density population along the busy Route 7 and 50 corridor.
