Ballou shooting surveillance video released by D.C. police
(WJLA) - Washington D.C.'s Metropolitan Police Department has released surveillance video of a shooting near Ballou High School in Southeast.
Gunfire erupted along the 3100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE around 9 a.m. Tuesday morning near a large group of young people. The three victims of the shooting all survived and were conscious and breathing when officers arrived. Two were immediately transported to nearby hospitals with life-threatening and serious but non-life-threatening injuries, respectively. The third victim was treated by the nurse's office at Ballou.
The newly-released video shows an individual that police are calling a person of interest running through the frame away from the camera so that only his back is visible. His clothing matches either of the two descriptions of suspects released by the police.
