Local elections to be held across Northern Virginia Tuesday

(WJLA) - Elections for local positions such as city and town councilmembers, mayors and  school boards will be held across Northern Virginia on Tuesday.

Many municipalities throughout the area choose to hold their local elections on the first Tuesday in May in hopes of not getting left in the shadows during much bigger gubernatorial and presidential elections typically held in November.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

CLARKE COUNTY:

Berryville - Mayor and Town Council

 

CULPEPER COUNTY:

Culpeper - Mayor and Town Council

 

FAIRFAX COUNTY:

City of Fairfax - Mayor, City Council and School Board

Clifton - Mayor and Town Council

Herndon - Mayor and Town Council

Vienna - Town Council

 

FAUQUIER COUNTY:

Remington - Mayor and Town Council

Warrenton - Mayor and Town Council-At-Large

The Plains - Town Council

 

Fredericksburg - City Council and School Board

 

LOUDOUN COUNTY:

Hamilton - Mayor and Town Council 

Lovettsville - Mayor and Town Council 

Middleburg - Mayor and Town Council 

Purcellville - Mayor and Town Council 

Round Hill - Mayor and Town Council

 

 

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY:

Dumfries - Mayor and Town Council

Haymarket - Mayor and Town Council

Occoquan - Mayor and Town Council

Quantico - Mayor and Town Council

 

WASHINGTON COUNTY:

Damascus - Mayor and Town Council

Saltville - Mayor and Town Council
