Two rescued from Rock Creek after vehicle crashes into water
WASHINGTON (WJLA) - D.C. Fire and Rescue pulled two people out of Rock Creek after police and firefighters were called in for a vehicle in water car crash.
The accident was reported just after 2:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
Metropolitan police confirmed two victims were rescued from the vehicle. Their conditions are unknown.
All lanes of Rock Creek Parkway are currently closed to traffic in both directions between Connecticut Avenue/Calvert Street NW and Virginia Avenue NW. Police remain on scene.
UPDATE 8 a.m.: Rock Creek Parkway has now reopened to southbound traffic.
