(WJLA) - Brian Cranston won the Tony for his portrait of LBJ, and “All the Way” also won Best Play. Audra McDonald won her sixth Tony as Billie Holiday in “Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill.” Neil Patrick Harris won for “Hedwig and the Angry Inch.”

The best-selling young adult novel, “The Fault in Our Stars,” overwhelmed the weekend box office. Shailene Woodley stars as a teen with stage four thyroid cancer who falls into a relationship with her fellow survivor, Ansel Elgort. What could have turned into a sobfest, however, instead makes a profound statement about hope and love and optimism.

“The Fault in Our Stars” made $48 million opening weekend, easily passing the Tom Cruise science-fiction adventure, “Edge of Tomorrow.”
