Building collapse in D.C. shuts down lanes on New York Avenue NW
(WJLA) – A partial building collapse in D.C. will likely cause issues for commuters Wednesday morning.
The wall of a three-story building in the 100 block of New York Avenue in Northwest D.C. that collapsed Tuesday night has shut down the westbound lanes of New York Avenue and 1st Street NW.
Two left lanes reopened to traffic just because 6 a.m. Wednesday.
The collapse happened around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. There were no injuries.
Commuters should expect delays and seek alternative routes.
