WASHINGTON (WJLA) - Some detours will be in place and an exit ramp off the 11th Street bridge (westbound I-695) will close on Wednesday for construction work.
The exit ramp to M Street SE and the Navy Yard from the 11th Street inbound freeway bridge (westbound I-695) will close from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, to allow crews to continue work on demolishing the old inbound bridge.
In addition, traffic on northbound I-295 and southbound D.C. 295 (the Anacostia Freeway) will be detoured to the 11th Street Local Bridge to access M Street SE and the Navy Yard via 11th Street SE, transportation officials said.
In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions, the work will be rescheduled and an updated advisory will be distributed, though such conditions are not expected.
