2 injured in serious car accident in Prince George’s County

CLINTON, Md. (WJLA) – Two people are currently hospitalized after a single vehicle crash in Prince George’s County Friday morning.

A was traveling on Piscataway Road in Clinton around 1 a.m. when the driver suddenly lost control of the car. The car struck a guardrail and then a utility pole, according to a police spokesperson.

The adult male was transported to a local hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries. The adult female passenger was initially trapped and had to be extricated from the vehicle. She was then transported to a hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.

Police are still investigating what caused the accident. Crews are currently repairing the utility pole and Accident Reconstruction is also on scene.

Piscataway Road at Temple Hill Road is closed until further notice. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use an alternate route.
