WASHINGTON (WJLA) -- A partial building collapse accidentally triggered by nearby demolition work forced the evacuation of a northeast D.C. daycare center on Wednesday afternoon.

DCFD crews at the scene said there were no injuries to any of the children or staff inside the daycare facility in 3400 block of 18th Street NE, which was evacuated as a precaution.

Two buildings near the daycare were undergoing a planned demolition when something apparently went wrong and caused a partial collapse of the building next door to the daycare, authorities said.
