FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (WJLA) – A former employee of a Fredericksburg moving company is accused of using a hidden camera to film a job applicant trying on a company uniform without her consent.

Mark Haynes, of the Kloke Group, was allegedly interested in more than resumes when he interviewed a 21-year-old woman for a job several months ago. During an initial interview, she was asked to go into an office and try on work uniforms.

About six weeks later, the applicant returned for a follow-up interview. Again, she was told to go into an office and take her clothes off to try on company uniforms. This time, she spotted a hidden camera, according to police. The victim also reported that her interviewer came to the door and asked her to contort herself into different positions, saying she had to be “agile,” since she was applying to work for a moving company.

ABC 7 News reached out to the Kloke Group, and eventually received a response in which a representative stated management was unaware of the alleged incidents and that 46-year-old Haynes had been fired.

“It would be concerning to know that people are doing that,” said Fredericksburg resident Halley Edwards.

Detectives searched Haynes’ Spotsylvania home, and found enough evidence to arrest him and charge him with videotaping a person in a state of undress without their permission.

Some people in Fredericksburg are troubled by an employer allegedly taking advantage of a young woman anxious for a job.

“I think that’s sleazy to do that to somebody who’s looking for a job,” said Fredericksburg resident Cindy Edwards.

Before his termination, Haynes had worked for the Kloke Group for about 10 years. He has a wife and family.

Police are asking anyone who may have recently been interviewed at the Kloke Group—women, in particular—and had a similar experience to come forward.
