Bones discovered by workers at Georgetown school

WASHINGTON (WJLA/AP) — Police are investigating bones that construction workers unearthed while doing work at an elementary school in Georgetown.

Police said the bones appeared to be antiquities and were not believed to be human.

They were found Friday around 10 a.m. by construction workers who were digging while doing work at Hyde-Addison Elementary School at 3219 O St. NW.

Detectives removed the bones to try to determine their origin.
