4 more arrested in Manassas gang-related homicide where body was left in dumpster

MANASSAS, Va. (WJLA) - Four more arrests have been made in what police are calling a gang-related homicide that occurred last weekend, in which a body was wrapped in a carpet and left in a dumpster.

Manassas City Police announced that Juan Francisco Guevara, 24; Mario Antonio Portillo, 25; and a 17-year-old male juvenile were located and arrested in Baltimore County, Maryland on Wednesday, and that Argenis Sandoval, 22, was captured Friday afternoon in Manassas.

Police made the arrests with the assistance of the Northern Virginia Regional Gang Task Force, Prince William County polcie and the U.S. Marshals Service.

The body of Cesar Benjamin Contreras of Manassas was discovered wrapped in a carpet and left in the dumpster area of the Colonial Village Apartments in the 8900 block of Nicol Lane in Manassas on Sunday,. Aug. 17. Police said Contreras had been stabbed to death.

These four arrests are in addition to two others who were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the murder - 20-year-old Ludwig Ulises “Negro” Mena Romero, of Manassas, and 18-year-old Jose Rafael Ramirez Lopez, of Washington, D.C.

The six suspects are all charged with murder.
