Allen Nock of Gainesville arrested in hit-and-run death of pedestrian Ross Damon Adams on Monday
NOKESVILLE, Va. (WJLA) - The car police believe struck and killed a man in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Nokesville early Monday morning has been found just a few miles from the crash site - leading them to make an arrest.
Prince William County police said after combing the area surrounding the crash - which happened at the intersection of Vint Hill and Broadlands roads - they located a suspicious-looking car.
They spotted the car, a 2001 Oldsmobile Bravada, parked in the 15600 block of Vint Hill Road, about three miles from the crash location.
"The vehicle showed signs of being involved in a crash," police said in a statement.
The car led police to a suspect they believe was driving the vehicle - Allen Nock, 29, of Gainesville, who lives in the home car was parked in front of.. Nock has been arrested and charged with hit-and-run resulting in an injury or death.
Police also identified the pedestrian who died in the crash as 36-year-old Ross Damon Adams of no fixed address.
