Tor Chiumba Campbell, 39, of the 8500 block of Greenbelt Road in Greenbelt, Md., was charged with first-degree murder in the death of 36-year-old Shauntelle Marie Lewis. Police say Campbell is also facing other related charges in the case and is at the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.

Lewis' body was discovered about 9:10 a.m. Monday inside her townhome in the 6800 block of West Forest Road by officers who went there to check on her after receiving a call from a concerned relative.

Police said Lewis was stabbed to death and the murder weapon was recovered. In terms of a motive, investigators said Campbell and Lewis had a romantic relationship and called the killing "domestic-related."
