(NEWSCHANNEL 8) - This week on Hispanic AGENDA: Prince William County ignited the national debate over local governments enforcing federal immigration law by being one of the first local jurisdictions to use its local police force to detain undocumented immigrants.

The chief advocate of the policy is the Chairman of the County Board of Supervisors, Corey Stewart - a Republican that, to some, embodies the anti-immigrant sentiment faced by many Hispanics in Prince William County. But this isn’t stopping a new effort by local Latino Republicans to attract other Latinos to their side. Will they succeed?

Plus, could reading the Harry Potter book series make you a more tolerant person? And on that topic - how tolerant are we as Hispanics of diversity in our own culture?

Then, a treat for Salsa dancers in the DMV - Verny Varela stops by our set for a chat.

Don’t miss Hispanic Agenda, this Saturday afternoon at 6 p.m. on NewsChannel 8.
