5 parked cars damaged in arson fire at Germantown condo complex

GERMANTOWN, Md. (WJLA) – Montgomery County police and fire officials were investigating a single car fire that spread to five other vehicles parked outside a Germantown condominium complex late Tuesday.

While it's unclear exactly how the first car caught fire, authorities called it a case of attempted arson.

The fire occurred just before midnight near Mateny Road and Owls Nest Road, leaving cars covered in soot and damaging tire rims.

The damaged cars were parked on the side of the road near the condo complex.

No injuries occurred.
