WASHINGTON (AP) — Former District of Columbia mayor Anthony Williams and former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue are among the leaders of a group vying to bring the Olympics to Washington in 2024.

The nonprofit Washington 2024 announced the names of 17 board members on Thursday.

In addition to Williams and Tagliabue, they include businesswoman Sheila Johnson, Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank, Washington Nationals owner Mark Lerner and chef Jose Andres.

Washington is one of four U.S. finalists to bid for the 2024 Olympics, along with Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The U.S. Olympic Committee will decide early next year whether to pursue a bid for the games and would select a city at that time.
