The Egyptian Military executed a coup on Wednesday -- pushing Islamist Mohammed Morsi from power only one year after he became the country's first democratically-elected president. The overthrow comes on the heels of violent clashes.

Col. Douglas Macgregor, executive vice president of the Burke-Macgregor Group, discussed the implications with Capital Insider.
