FOSE 2013, a view from the floor

The daunting task of creating a Nationwide Public Safety Network

The effort to create a Nationwide Public Safety Network dates back to 2007 -- that's when the FCC set up regulations. In 2009, they set aside spectrum for such a network. In 2012, Congress created the First Responder Network Authority and started building a staff.
