SURPRISE, SURPRISE!

It’s official - I have totally lost the capacity to be caught unawares. You may never hear the words, “Really? I can’t believe that!” ever come out of my mouth again. There can’t be anything possible that could shock, surprise or get a rise out of me. Why? Here goes:
The President is Black - and so is the head of the GOP (You want to tell me you saw that coming?)
A trillion dollars may not be enough to make a dent in our economic woes. A billion dollars is now officially chump change.
Alex Rodriguez admitted to using banned substances (the only story that can get a rise out of me now is the one about the base ball player NOT using them – if you can find one…) And, what’s more, Jose Canseco looks like a font of virtue now!
The Grammy Awards Show had Stevie Wonder playing backup for the Jonas Brothers!!!
A player from Ohio State is the Steelers Super Bowl MVP (if you’re from Ohio you know how galling that is…).
Some Wall Street bankers now want to give back the billions they took from the government TARP fund, now that the President wants them to accept a $500,000 limit on their salaries. Coincidence? I don’t know, but if they could do without the money, why’d they take it in the first place?
I’ve got a feeling this list is going to grow. After all, it’s only February.

The only thing is the so called head of the GOP bowed down to Rush.
Doing so set a bad example if the GOP want blacks to come running to their party.
I didn't care for Steele when he was in Maryland and that feeling has increased when he felt the need as the New Face of the GOP to apologize to Rush. And for what? Has Rush apologized for the many remarks made that Steele SHOULD find offensive? Or does being a black GOP member mean it is a one way street?
Nothing has changed over there. The sad part was people didn't realize this with the sexist symbols for Palin. She was being used and so much so that her family and daughters boyfriend were being used.
So... Mr. Steele needs to take that into consideration. Don't let them use you Steele. Don't!

I was surprised to hear the Senator from Utah say the other day that if his earmark for eradicating crickets was taken out it would not have changed the total amount of the total stimulus bill. I am curious how the total was arrived at, if it didn't affect the total and why if it was taken out why it wouldn't reduce the total. Can you or someone explain how the earmark system works from beginning to end.

What I would like to hear more out of your mouth sir is "President Obama", The "President", "Mr. President". I don't think you are on a first name basis with our President and if you are please keep that practice in you social circle and not on our air ways. I feel that you and Cyne are disrespecting his accomplishment and the office of the Presidency. He's earned the title give it to him and if you are not comfortable get there.
