The importance of STEM education

STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Improving the way our students learn these subjects can close achievement gaps and produce innovation.

Carole Nysmith, the founder of the Nysmith School for the Gifted, and two 8th grade students, Olivia Kaczmarskyj and Anika Schipma, joined us to explain how STEM education is preparing students for the future.
