VA/MD transportation funding, Obama's 2nd Inaugural and DC voting rights

Today on NewsTalk, we discussed local leaders’ plea for more transportation funding from Richmond and Annapolis.

Our guests: Bowie Councilman Todd Turner, chairman of the regional Transportation Planning Board, and Alexandria Vice-Mayor Kerry Donley, a member of the TPB.

The board recently urged state lawmakers to boost road and transit funding. Good Morning Washington’s Scott Thuman talked about why President Obama’s second inaugural is likely to be smaller – and less of a spectacle – than his first.

And DC Vote’s James Jones discussed the DC statehood bill, the push for budget autonomy and why the White House refuses to put the city’s “Taxation Without RepresentatIon” license plates on the president’s limo.
