Sequester cuts loom; Va. lawmakers in home stretch

Today on NewsTalk, we discussed the impact that deep cuts in federal spending will have on the Washington area’s economy – and the likelihood that Congress and the White House will reach a deal to avert the so-called “sequester.” Our first guest, the Greater Washington Board of Trade’s Jim Dinegar, is pessimistic we’ll see an agreement before the deadline.

John Mahoney, an attorney who specializes in labor law, talked about federal worker rights.

And Sen. Dick Block (R-Loudoun/Prince William) talked about the final days of the Virginia legislature’s 2013 session.
