Today on NewsTalk, Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker talked about the legislation giving him the power to appoint the county school system’s leadership. The bill, approved last week and on its way to Governor O’Malley for his signature, creates a state panel that will compile three candidates for the Executive to pick from. Baker said he asked for the new power because education is the key to the county’s future.

In our second half hour, Politico’s Reid Epstein talked about the bipartisan criticism of the President’s budget outline, and 106.7 The Fan’s Michael Williams previewed The Masters, which kicks off on Thursday.
