Silver Spring Transit Center, Columbia Pike Streetcar Project; D.C. budget autonomy

Today on NewsTalk: The Silver Spring Transit Center is now under investigation by the Montgomery County Inspector General We discussed the latest on the trouble-plagued project with Montgomery County Councilman Hans Riemer.

The federal government recently turned down a request for funding for the Columbia Pike streetcar line. We discussed what this means for the project's future with Walter Tejada, the chairman of the Arlington County Board of Supervisors.

And we talked with Walter Smith, the head of District advocacy group D.C. Appleseed, about the D.C. budget referendum.
