Email or Emails?

This really isn't a true 'behind the scenes'. I mean, it's a look at what I'm thinking, but nothing more. I was wondering, aloud to some, about the word email. Has it morphed into it's own word? Well, I found that answer to be yes.

So, this is my question:

"Do I say I have several emails that need my attention?"  Or do I say,   "I have several email that need my attention?"

Get my drift? Is the plural of email...email or emails?

I have found many different views on the subject. Here's 2:

I don't know? Does it matter? Really? Not sure. Tell me what you think, okay?

Cheryl DeGarmo
April 16, 2008

TO ALL THIS MAY CONCERN:

My name is Cheryl DeGarmo and I was bitten by a poisonous spider in August of 2005 while living in Annapolis, Maryland. It took 3 (three) visits to the hospital and about 6 (six) months to recover. The Anne Arundel Medical Center in Maryland gave me antibiotics and strong pain medication. I had 5 (five) sores that were black and the biggest was the size of my fist. The doctors told me I may need skin grafts because the venom would eat the black skin away.

In June of 2007, my arms and legs developed sores which looked a lot like my previous experience with the spider bite. I felt sick, ran a fever and the sores were really painful. I called my PCP doctor and was denied an appointment because of an outstanding bill at a Laboratory. Not being able to see my doctor and not having insurance or funds for a new doctor, I ended up in the emergency room at Blake hospital in Bradenton, FL, for assistance. At the same time, my younger sister broke out with sores on her face. Not knowing what it was or if it was the same thing, she went to the Blake ER. The doctors there took her blood, did cultures and gave her antibiotics and ointment. She was diagnosed with the deadly staff infection called MRSA. When they called her with the results of her culture, it came back unidentifiable.

My first visit to Blake hospital was Oct 19, 2007 (the day after my sister?s visit). I was given antibiotics and my diagnosis was cellulites. I was sent on my way with unbelievable pain and without knowing what the problem was or where it could have come from. I was also feeling an attitude from the staff. I took the medication as prescribed, the pain and sores continued to escalate to an unbearable degree! I went back to Blake ER on Nov 6, 2007, to get the sores cultured and have my ear examined as it continued to bleed for 36 hours or so. They would not look at the sores because they told me only one emergency per person, per visit. I was not treated very well, once again, and still no resolution.

I called Manatee County Health Dept and discussed what I was going through and was told to go to Manatee Memorial and tell them I may have the staff infection MRSA, which is very painful, deadly and contagious. I was dropped off at the hospital early morning of Nov 9, 2007, and was told by the doctor that I didn?t have an emergency and I shouldn?t be there. The entire visit was about 30 minutes long, the doctor was rude and she was only in the room 10 minutes, and still no answers!

I still have sores and now all the bills from trying to get a diagnosis of the sores which are still coming. Why am I paying for doctors to treat me when I wasn?t treated and still had no resolution as to what is wrong with me? I finally found a doctor who is working with me now. With all due respect, what am I paying these hospitals and doctors for?

Your input would be appreciated concerning this matter. I can be reached by phone at 941-778-8417 or via email at mscmd2007@yahoo.com. With much concern and needing closure, Cheryl DeGarmo

here is my story: we moved to Bowie MD in 2006 brought a colonial house 2400 sf. we went to closing in May 2006. Our home was assessed in Dec 2007 and our property taxes went up from 4,277. to $6,475. I called the Tax Assessment office and filed an appeal and a gentlemen called me and said that we did not get the Homestead tax credit because our title company filed the paperwork after July 2006. Not only did our taxes go up we have a shortage amount for our property taxes in the amount of $3,228. Everyone is passing the bulk. Can you help us to see if this is appropriate. Thank you

I wanted to let you know of some ongoing situations that is happening at Community Surgical and Dover Police Dept. I worked for them for over 4 years. On Wednesday, April 9th, while I was making the morning calls to my customer, one of the owner's, Howie Fried approached me and asked me to go outside. I thought that he wanted me to move something outside. I had no clue what was about to happen. Howie started yelling and pointing his finger in my face. Howie asked if I had a problem with him, and I said "no" and I don't know what you are talking about. He proceeded to say to me that I was talking sh-- about him and his brother. Lamont had no clue what he was talking about. When I asked him what was the problem, and what was said, he said it didn't matter. Then, he said to me if you talk about me or my brothers, there's going to be a problem. I asked him are you threatening me? Meanwhile, there was alot of the employees crowding around watching the whole thing. Also, there is cameras around the building. Then, he went on saying about the people I know and hangout with, "my click", said that I was saying things. He said to me that he was going to fu-- me up. I walked away to go inside, and he jumped in front of me to block me from getting in the building. Then, he proceeded to tell m e to get the ~~~~ out of her, "you're fired." I said for what? I walked around the back of the building to get my stuff out of the truck, and Howie followed me around the back of the building. He was harassing me, cursing, and yelling about his friends that he knew for 20 years. Then, the other two owners, Jerry Fried and Michael Fried, and my supervisor, James Motley came out of the building. Jerry jumped in my face and said, I will ~~~~ you up right now and started running up to me like he wanted to hit me. I said, bring it on. I said to Jerry are you threatening me, that makes two threats. His brother jumped in front of us. Jerry was telling me that he was going to kill me. I told him that I was going to the police with this. He said, "go on and do that, because I have Dover Township in my back pocket. They can't touch me. Once this was over, and I left the job. I figured out what he was talking about. We have mutual friends, and he was worried that I would tarnish the "Community Surgical's reputation," because I know for a fact that they are into cocaine, crack, and marijuana. I had a conversation with my friends tha I was working in Howie's truck, and there was a marijuana joint in the truck, and they excused me for it. I told my friend that they never apologized for excusing me. It was Howie's joint. I never thought about ratting on them, because I loved my customers. The customers kept me going to work everyday. They drug test people at the job, and they are the biggest druggies there. It is suppose to be a drug free environment. However, if you were in with the bosses, you were never drug tested. Anyway, I was told Thursday, April 10th by my ex-supervisor, who had no clue of what happened, that I was fired for insubbordination. He didn't know what I did for insubbordination, but that is what Human Resource told him. My supervisor and other employees that seen the scene felt that it was very unprofessional and unfair treatment. I went to Dover Police station today and filed a complaint for terroristic threats and harassment, but I'm not sure if anything would be done, because of the comment that Jerry Fried made to me about the back pocket. I am pursuing criminal charges against them, but I'm worried about my families safety. Community Surgical is a pretty big company in our community servicing alot of senior citizen in the area, and this is poor management. There are alot of people who was fired from this job for unfairly. There is alot of harassment and retaliation going on in this workplace. I am asking for your help with the police and the prosecutor. They are also trying to screw my unemployment. Thank you for your consideration in this matter. Lamont Lett
