As of Saturday, June 28th, 2008 at 12 midnight, The Carousel at Roosevelt Field Mall on Long Island will be CLOSED! This is the doing of Simon Malls, not those that run the Carousel. We parents are outraged! The ONLY reason we go to the mall as a family is because our 3 year old son asks to go on the horses at the mall. While my husband rides the Carousel with him, I'll go shopping. Otherwise, NO CAROUSEL, NO SHOPPING!!!

This is a HUGE mistake on Simon Malls part. That Carousel had become an oasis for our kids and has become the magnet of the mall for us.

Giants Stadium LLC today unveiled some details of the Personal Seat License program for New York Giants season ticket holders in the new stadium that opens in 2010. I would like to report Washington Gas. Through this whole energy/forclosure crisis many of the utilites will work with a family in need. They set up monthly payments, assist with numbers to call etc. Washington Gas is not one of them. They demand their money up front and do not allow anyone any dignity. I lost my job in November and have struggled. I know have a job but am 2 weeks from a paycheck - Washington Gas would not allow the lag and shut off my gas - even though I have kids in the house. I told them they could look at my account - I only have money for rent and food. They laughed and told me tough and that I had to pay close to a thousand to have it turned back on. This is what makes the US so sad - no help. I would love it if you could do an expose on the worst utiliity to one of the best Pepco - who always work with you - leave you with dignity and never would want you to starve.

TO UPSET: There are some GREAT PUBLIC fireworks displays. The nation's capital puts on a really good show.

Every year kids lose fingers, get burned etc from fireworks..I've witnessed it myself. Tragic. They are also very dangerous in urban areas and an extreme fire hazard. Not to say they can't be handled safely but unfortunately a few have spoiled it for many.

Your right, fireworks are for the RICH. They're darned expensive! I don't know how poor people can afford them or justify buying them when gas, food and utilities are running at all time highs.

I say save your money and watch the pros...turn on the radio to the appropriate fm dial that coincides with the explosive display and have fun. You'll be safe and save money too.

I'm saving my money and watching the free stuff this year. I'll have a few extra dollars to fill up the tank.

I am writing you in concern about the laws in our state. When growing up we did not have live in fear of the police or anyone else,but now we have to fear everyone even the police. Now this concern is how we are living our lives. Due to the big wigs in the government we can not celebrate the 4th of July. We used to be able to buy fireworks and have a fun time in our own yards. now we have to travel mile just to show our children how pretty they are. Not only that we are on the road for the police to stop us and gives us a ticket I don't see why our children have to suffer. If they want everyone off the streets then lets us have fun time in our own yards. Why can't they have a training session for the adults so they can be prepared and prepare there children on how to handle fireworks. I have looked at the cities in colorado that have the firework ban and guess what? How funny this is it is only the poorer cities. I don't see castle Rock,Littleton,Englewood ect. Why is it that they can have fireworks, but we can't? If they want to stop all firework then stop them in every city in Colorado. Don't just pick and choose who can and who can't have fun. How funny is that the rich people can have fun and they are the ones living out in the stick were there is nothing but grass and bushes,tress,fields of grass. Would that not cause a fire that can not be controlled? let me know! I would just like to tell the goverment that you people stink and have no clue about all the people that you are governing. Except your own the RICH. Let me tell you there are more poor people out here then there are of any of you. So get a clue and let people have a good time in there own yards with there families. You have control of every thing else for God sakes give us something. You crooks
