DROPPED AGAIN!

"Inside 7 On Your Side"  will be preempted Tuesday.  Why? Primary coverage. Okay, I'll agree, that's a good reason to move us. Last week we had a re-run because of Super Tuesday.

Actually I'm glad. It gives me an opportunity to watch the political fallout here in the DC area. It's been an interesting race. The candidate of choice will have an impact on consumer issues as well.

For example the Consumer Product Safety Commission has been flying with "one wing". Some appointments are necessary to give it the full clout mandated by legislation. Without a quorum the Commission's ability to adopt new safety standards or issue mandatory recalls has been stifled.

Let's hope the next president will understand the importance of oversight when it comes to protecting your safety.
