Now I'm back at work. I returned to listen to 300 voice mail messages and to read about 200 email complaints. I flagged the ones that I thought we could tackle.
Many of you have called more than once complaining that we haven't returned your call. If I did call you back, with no intention of investigating your complaint, that would give you false hope. If I called just to say we got your message, I would never get out the door to investigate stories. So, having said that, if you do get a call from us, it means we are serious about helping you.
Our hotline message is makes it clear that we can not call everyone back but that doesn't stop some of you from calling again to give me "an earful".
I'm not unsympathetic to your problems but I am human and can only do so much. Please be understanding and for those of you who feel it's your right to abuse me on the phone...well..take a look at the picture..that's what I'll look at while you are chewing me out for not helping with your complaint. It reminds me of what life is really about.
Now back to work! Uggh!
