| This relationship went sour! Getting dumped just before the wedding but not by your fiance! This time it was the wedding planner. Trevia Newell of Calla Lily Events was paid to handle all the planning but was unable to handle the couple. The stress of working with the couple and their family got to her. Isn't that what a wedding planner gets paid to do? You'd think a wedding planner would be used to that kind of stress. After all it is a difficult time and some couples can really be high strung. That's where the wedding planner comes in; to smooth things out, to make sure the vendors are paid on time and to provide the couple with all the information needed in order to relax and to feel comfortable that everything is running smoothly. This relationship between the bride and the wedding planner was not smooth and in the end they parted ways. Not a good thing, just one month before the wedding. |
She was awful, I had to do her job for her...the job that I paid her to do. It was just pathetic. I seriously thought about opening my own planning company after my own wedding since I did so much and had my own vendors compliment my design and sense of style. I am so sorry for your experience but I, like you feel like I am out money because I paid her several thousand dollars to do work that she never did. Feel free to contact me back!!! I'd be interested in seeing how your story turns out. I feel for you, I really do, especially after being in a similar situation with this company.
I invite you to watch the story again to see the efforts we made to get the other side of the story.
I also invite you to read the comments posted from some other brides. Check out those comments in the story section. Here's the link: http://www.wjla.com/news/stories/0208/495788_interact.html
I was amused by your comments. This "wanna be reporter" has been investigating stories for more than 28 years. I think I've past the "wanna be stage." Hmmm... does that make me a "has been." LOL
Have a good day.

It takes many years to build a great reputation and a few minutes to tear one down which in my opinion is why Seven on Your Side should know better especially when it comes to reporting fair and balanced stories which should have been done instead of using scare tactics against the accused. The tables should be turned on Seven on Your Side and the way it fails to present two sides of the story then maybe Seven on Your Side would think twice before ruining a reputation that took many years to build especially if the story like the one I saw is based ironically on a totally un-ivestigated one-sided in-accurate point of view!
Fired Up at Seven on Your Side!

You're wrong. The story went exactly as told. Just because you may have used them and liked them, doesn't make Shellie and Ryan's case any less important. We tried to get the comments of both Ryan and Trevia Newell of Calla Lily Events, but if you watched the story, well, their response was less than kind. They had multiple opportunities to give three sides, heck even 10 sides to the story...but they chose to ignore us. We report the facts.Always have.
I am glad you had success on multiple occassions using them, I am curious though..For how many weddings did you use them?
