AT&T National
Anytime you have a local golfer take the lead in Tigers tournament.....it's a great story! Well how about Steve Marino?He grew up in Fairfax. He played golf at UVA. Today Steve Marino birdied three of his first four holes and is the first round leader at Tiger Woods AT&T National golf tournament. Does it get any better than that? If you watched our 5pm sportscast, you saw us follow Steve from the first tee all the way to the birdie putt on number 18 as the leader at five under par 65. It was definitely fun for our photographer Mike Springerth to be there at the first tee at 7:35am and walk with Steve and his family for four and a half hours. Great Story! Nobody in town did it better or was closer than Mike for the story of the day! Photographers Josh Miller and Mike Springerth were second to none today. Mike gets our July 3rd MVP award!
