Big Brown was calm before the Belmont and I think he was drained by the heat. He was lifeless! He wasn't frisky. He was foaming at the mouth, he looked uncomfortable with his bit, and he appeared spent before the parade. Once in the gate, Big Brown looked uncomfotable with the post and at the start he got bumped hard and hit his nose on the hind-quarter of another horse. Once Big Brown got outside he looked like he wanted to run and was certainly more comfortable out there, but he was held back. The Big fella was fighting to run and using all his energy to fight the reins. At the far turn they let him go but the tank was empty......nothing left....Big Brown was fading fast. Still Big brown still didn't want to be pulled up. The champion in him wanted to run across that finish line and he still fought the jockey to let him go. This entire race was mismanaged by Big Browns people.
