I have'nt gotten much sleep this week. I have been working around the clock on a college football special. Today, I got up bright and early and travelled down the road to Charlottesville, Virginia to visit the wahoo's. After a short night, when I had to sleep fast, I grabbed two great photographers (Mike Springirth and Josh Miller) and we drove to UVA arriving about 10AM. I interviewed Head Coach Al Groh and Darrell Greens son Jared. Jared is a redshirt freshman wide reciever. He is much taller than Darrell, his dad is 5'8 while Jared is 6'2, 185 pound wide receiver. (I know your faster Darrell. You are quicker than gossip, but Jared runs an impressive 4.4 ! ) And what a quality young man! He was fun to talk with, he spoke glowingly of his family with optimism about football and with kindness about the fans of his family. Jared told us about his dads trip to the Hall of Fame. He took us behind the scenes in Canton and he told us about his family support while he was growing up in Northern Virginia. I hope you will tune in to our college football special August 27th at 8pm to see Jared , coach Groh, Frank Beamer , Ralph Friedgen and much more.
