GREIVIS VASQUEZ STAYING
category: Terps

Greivis Vasquez is staying at Maryland rather than leaving early for the NBA. The 6'6 gaurd was at the Comcast Center this afternoon and sources close to the situation told me that this is a great decision by the emotional Venezuelan. He worked out for a handful of NBA teams and talked with a lot of people before making his decision. He did a great job doing his Due Diligence according to a source. The feeling is that one more year of college ball will improve his stock for next years draft.

Tim,

I think he's doing the right thing by getting an assessment of his NBA stock. Maybe his stock will go up with another good season at Maryland. He'll be a good position player to add around a "superstar" type player. Gary is running a better program over there at Maryland without that "Superstar" one or two year player. Just ask Tim Floyd about that. Everybody was giving him a hard way to go about his recruiting last season. They just need to leave Gary alone & let him do his job. All of this and I'm not even a MD fan. Have a good one, Tim!
