Heartbreak Hotel

The Verizon Center was heartbreak hotel last night. I have never seen a crowd go from so loud to so quiet so quickly. When the Fly
ers scored the winning goal in OT to eliminate the caps it was so sudden and so final that it was a shock. The phone booth sounded like a library and the place emptied fast. Keep in mind, the Capitals fought back from a 3-1 deficit to be in position to win it and advance....so it was great run! Now the question is.... how does management take this group to the next level? Do the caps sign unrestricted free agent Cristobal Huet? Will Ted Leonsis keep Sergei Fedorov? How do they deal with the restricted free agents? The bottom line is the capitals have to get better if they are going to win Lord Stanley's Cup.

The Wizards look to be in trouble, but this is a hard team to figure out. The Cavaliers are not that good. Gilbert is correct when he says that .."the Cav's have been a .500 ball club since the trade". The wizards just have to shut up and play!!!!
The NFL draft will be fun to watch if only to see what the skins do with nine picks. This is a huge test for Vinny Cerrato and Dan Snyder.
