This was a strange Monday for Jim Zorn and the Redskins. It marked the first loss of the preseason for this ball club under the management of Jim and his staff. Anyone who watched the 44 point loss in Charlotte, knows it was a good-ole fashion butt whoopin! Today Jim Zorn said his first team offense "will" play Thursday night against Jacksonville at Fed Ex. It seemed to me that the skins were beaten in every phase of the game. However, it was the offensive line that was the talk of the town today. When Chris Samuels was bull rushed into Jason Campbell my initial reaction was this team won't win eight games. I eventually came to my senses and realized I'd have to wait until the Giants game Thursday Sept. 4, to make a prediction.
A few observations; Jason Cambell still takes too long to throw and his footwaork is still not the best. The Offensive line was embarasssing Saturday. The run defense was nonexistant. Not good signs for the season.
The good news is that Jason Taylors MRI showed no serious damage to the structure of the knee. He will miss 10 to 14 days.
