Zimmerman... this thing is getting pretty good, huh? If he can get three more at San Francisco, there will be a ton of attention on him Friday when the team returns home to play Philly. I imagine dealing with the media/pressure/attention is harder than actually getting the requisite base-hit every night. Either way, quite a feat.
And it's Preakness Week! Pretty cool story today that Debry winner Mine That Bird's owner wil not run another horse - clearing the way for Rachel Alexandra to run Saturday. RA won the Kentucky Oaks by about a half-mile and, according to Mike Gathagan of the Preakness - would be the favorite should she run. The Mine That Bird folks would have improved their chances by taking the 14th and final spot (and keeping RA out), but I guess they figured this was the right thing to do. It'd be something if MTB finishes second to RA.
Why does the Washington sports have such bad owners? Washington needs a winning team to get the area back on its feet in the sports area and just maybe bring in some people with enough money to buy these teams and make this area what is was at one time. A WINNER.
