[CDATA[Pitchers Dominate Early Fantasy Season]]

<fulltext>[CDATA[It's a fairly typical thing to see early in the season As the hitters get warmed up (literally and figuratively), the pitchers come out throwing. But what has been interesting about the 1st 3 weeks of the season has been the names at the top of the pitching food chain.

Check this out: Joe Saunders, Zach Greinke, Tim Redding, Jake Peavy, Dice-K, Brandon Webb and Braden Looper. What do they all have in common? They all have at least 3 wins!! What?!?! It's hard to believe Greinke's and Redding's teams even have 3 wins each on the year, but somehow they are gettin the job done. Now I know there is a looooong way to go, but you can't help but wonder how good some of these guys can be.
Of the players I just mentioned, only Greinke, Peavy and Dice-k were drafted. For disclosure's sake, I have Greinke and I was on auto draft (I know, very lucky!!). Meanwhile Redding and Looper are still on the waiver wire...go figure. I would like to mention how i was able to pick up 3 pitchers off the wire at the beginning of the season. I will refer to them as my Tim Hudsons ( since i picked Hudson off the wire last season and he anchored my pitching staff all year). Tim Hudson 1- Joe Saunders ( who has been blowin up for the Angels this year), Tim Hudson 2- Jake Westbrook ( one of those "he's gotta break out or he's a career journeyman" guys), Tim Hudson 3- Jeff Suppan (year 2 with the Brewers I figured he has got to rebound at some point).
I gotta say I've been pretty lucky. Now I just need my hitters to show up!! Hello! Earth calling Andruw Jones! Hello Andruw! The season has started! We are no longer taping an episode of "Cribs". Please come and join the party.
Just to update-I have made 8 transactions this season...one more than 3 other teams. Plus i traded Prince Fielder for "A man named" Grady Sizemore. I'm feelin good right now. Record: 16-12-2

Sure would be nice to have Oriole stories and results with videos each night when they play. I was a Senator's fan for years, but Minneapolis and Texas zapped my allegiance, and Baltimore became a favorite--and still is!
