Rain, Rain Go Away

Will it ever stop? I am told that this is the wettest May in half a century. I don't know if that's true, but it sure seems like it. The Nationals have had to dodge the rain drops for three straight games. I was watching the NCAA Lacrosse playoffs on muddy fields. The local golf courses are all under water. The private schools played their championship at Congressional this afternoon and the fairways looked like rivers.

Lebron James and the Cavaliers play Boston tonight in Cleveland ( game four). I stumbled through this story  on the air....but it is in Cleveland! By the way, Lebron James is 13 of 59 in this series with the Celtics. Awful! The Wizards bring out the best in James every single season.

The Nationals make so many mental errors that they keep opponents in games too long. In the series against Houston ...pitchers weren't smart in counts, pitchers weren't covering first base on grounders to the rightside and the inability to stop runners from stealing bases is making it difficult to win. The Nats play the Mets tonight in New York.

My nephew Tyler Brant plays lacrosse at Hofstra and the Pride was eliminated from the NCAA's yesterday by Johns Hopkins. My nephew Ryan Brant is the goalie for Dematha High school and the stags game with Good Counsel for the WCAC championship today was postponed by the rain. Ryan is only a junior but he has already committed to play for Ohio State.

Rain, Rain go away!
