This week, we've got John Goodwin, the Director of Animal Cruelty Policy at The Humane Society of the United States (http://www.humanesociety.org/issues/dogfighting/) and Laura Donahue, the Virginia Director of the HSUS. They're bringing us up to date on the Animal Fighting Spectator Bill that will hit Congress when they come back into session soon.

To learn more about this bill, and what you can do to help it get passed into law, go to the HSUS website here: Humanesociety.org/spectator

Up next, Cheryl Rogers, the Vice President of the Equine Rescue League (www.equinerescueleague.org) joins us to tell us all about how their organization is helping horses all around our region. We talk every week about "Adorable Adoptable" dogs and cats, but did you know that you can adopt horses, too? We've got an amazing story of one beautiful mare who's looking for a loving home.

Dave Jensen, a Certified Pet Waste Management Consultant, joins us to talk about some options that you have for keeping your yards, and houses, cleaner. Now that Winter is over, if you haven't been scooping up your yard, you could have hundreds of pounds of pet waste out there waiting for you, coming into your house on your shoes and your dog's feet...or going into the water supply. Doody Calls (www.DoodyCalls.com) has a huge fan in Dr. Katy, and you'll find out why!

Finally, our Adorable Adoptable joins us this week from Washington Animal Rescue League (www.warl.org). Shaniqua White, an Adoptions Counselor at WARL, joins us to tell us all about the upcoming happenings at WARL over the next couple of months, as well as to introduce us to Darling Lili, a BEAUTIFUL little cat who's looking for a home. Adopt a Mommy Cat on Mother's Day and an anonymous donor will donate $500 per Mommy! If you're looking for a lovable kitty to make part of your family, now's the time!
