Tonight will not be as cold as previous nights with lows in the low 30s in the suburbs to near 40 in the city. Thursday will be even warmer than Wednesday as a southerly wind continues. Highs will in the low to mid 60s under mostly sunny skies. Friday should be the peak of the February thaw, with a forecast high close to 70 degrees. The record high is 76 degrees.
Changes will arrive for the weekend as a cold front moves through Friday night into Saturday morning bringing with it slightly cooler temperatures and strong winds. Saturday will be gusty with highs back in the 50s under a mixture of sunshine and clouds. Sunday will be mostly cloudy as a warm front lifts to our north. There is also a chance for a couple of showers and highs near 50 degrees.
