Low pressure will track south of the region today and numerous showers and thunderstorms that have developed over the southeast have acted to rob a lot of the moisture from our region. This will only allow for a few scattered showers today with highs in the mid to upper 40s. There is still a chance for light, wet snow but it will be mainly along and west of the Blue Ridge. Tonight will remain cloudy and cool with lows in the 30s. The clouds will hang around Thursday with highs in the upper 40s. A few showers will be possible tomorrow evening through Friday morning as a coastal low passes to the east.
Partial clearing will be experienced by Friday afternoon with warmer temperatures in the lower 50s. Another weak system will pass through the area Saturday morning bringing with it a chance for a few light showers, but Sunday will be partly cloudy and dry. Highs over the weekend should reach the mid to upper 50s.
