One more dry day before the rain returns
Overnight: Mostly clear and cold
Lows: 24-32 | Wind: N/NE 5 mph
Tuesday: Partly sunny and milder
Highs: 51-55 | Wind: East 5-10 mph
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, showers late
Highs: 54-58 | Wind: East 8-12 mph
Another slow moving cold front will cause increasing cloudiness on Wednesday. Light rain or showers will develop later Wednesday afternoon. As this front pulls abundant moisture northward from the Gulf of Mexico, it is quite possible the rain will become steady late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.
With the expected slow movement of the frontal zone across the area on Thursday, it is likely the rain will be heavy at times. And it is also possible that parts of the area may receive more than 1 inch of rain and isolated amounts of two inches during the day Thursday. Normally this would not raise concerns, but this is only 4 days after heavier rainfall soaked the region.
