After storms rocked the region yesterday and this morning, conditions are finally beginning to improve, with more settled weather in the forecast.

This Afternoon: Storms End, Clearing & Breezy

Highs: Mid 70s | Wind: W 10-20 m.p.h.

Another week in April and another big tornado outbreak with over 160 tornado reports yesterday, today the storms will finally come to an end. The remainder of the afternoon will experience breezy winds and clearing skies with highs in the mid 70s. Tonight will be partly cloudy to mostly clear with comfortable temperatures in the 50s.

Friday, the upper-level remnants (shown over the Great Lakes) of this system will make for a few added clouds and possibly a few stray sprinkles, but otherwise comfortable conditions with highs in the upper 60s. Winds will still be breezy out of the west around 10 to 20 m.p.h.

The weekend ahead features mostly sunny skies on Saturday and a perfect start to the weekend with highs in the lower 70s. Sunday, a few added clouds will come through the region by the afternoon with highs in the upper 70s. The next chance for rain looks like it will be on Monday with the passage of a cold front.
