Clouds and drizzle will gradually end this morning giving way to partly sunny skies and humid conditions. This afternoon temperatures will top out in the low 80s with a few widely separated showers and storms developing. There is a slight chance that some of the storms may be strong to severe.
During the overnight the humid and warm air remains in place only cooling into the upper 60s to around 70 degrees. A few showers or even a thunderstorm will be possible late night toward dawn.
A rather strong cold front will push through the region Thursday triggering more widespread shower and storm activity mainly during the morning.
Cooler and less humid air filter in across the region for Friday through the weekend before another storm system head our way early next week.
