Another evening and night of tornadoes in the central United States. This is now the deadliest year of tornadoes in our lifetime. For our area the pattern of violent weather to the west sometimes means quiet weather or only passing weak storms here and that will be the story into the weekend. General ridging in the atmosphere means more sunshine than clouds in the coming days and this pattern will last into the holiday weekend. However, there is a hint of a weak backdoor cold front that might kick winds into the east or southeast by Sunday and Monday which would mean cool weather for the beaches. Unfortunately more severe weather is likely in the Midwest tomorrow but there's no sign of any dangerous weather for us.
