A weak frontal boundary will move into the region later this afternoon and evening, bringing with it a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms. Otherwise expect partly sunny skies and warm temperatures in the lower 70s. Winds will also be a bit breezy out of the southwest around 10 to 15 m.p.h. Tonight will be partly cloudy as any storms that do develop will quickly diminish after sunset. Lows will fall into the 40s to lower 50s.
Saturday should be the nicer part of the weekend, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the lower 70s. There is a slight chance for showers west of the D.C. Metro in the evening, but the majority of the precipitation should hold off until the overnight hours.
Sunday, a frontal boundary will move over the D.C. area, bringing with it a chance for a few showers. Showers should continue throughout the day under otherwise mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures should reach the lower 70s.
