Some storms on Doppler in western Maryland but they will not be near us tonight and the long dry period we've had is coming to an end. Winds have turned into the south and southeast and humidity is increasing a bit. A general area of low pressure with a "closed low circulation" will drift over us in the coming days, meaning plenty of clouds and the chances of afternoon showers or thunderstorms starting Saturday. Winds Saturday will be a bit more from the east, which will keep the thunderstorm chances low, but by Sunday into Tuesday unstable air over us means the risk of thunderstorms each afternoon. It will sure not be a repeat of this week next week.
